Position Summary

Assists department with financial analysis and decision support to help management drive performance, achieve business objectives, and obtain overall financial success. Provides relevant, accurate, timely, and actionable information in a professional manner which facilitates management’s decision making.

Job Duties

  • Participates in month-end closing process. This includes preparing various journal entries, creating revenue, KPI and statistical dashboards, reviewing financial results and explaining variances, and generating monthly executive financial statements.
  • Creates monthly forecasts for various business costs by partnering with business unit teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Assists in the preparation of annual revenue and operating expense budgets for multiple business units. Reviews department budget submissions to ensure they are reasonable, complete and accurate.
  • Tracks software development initiatives and costs; calculates capitalized development costs, and amortization expenses. Prepares reporting to analyze data and provides recommendations to ensure maximum resource utilization.
  • Contributes to the development of various international acquisition initiatives, such as reporting and process generation.
  • Completes various ad-hoc financial reporting requests to support ongoing business initiatives and automates/develops upon current processes.

Education

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Finance and/or Accounting or, in the absence of a degree, equivalent job experience.
  • MBNCPA designation a plus.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 4 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience is required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) skills are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and meet ongoing deadlines.
  • Exhibits strong problem solving skills, a sense of urgency, and clearly communicates/presents to all levels of management.
