POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. In the role of Financial Analyst, your basic responsibilities will be to provide various financial analyses supporting the North American Service Operations. Overall responsibilities are to ensure financial control, provide monitoring, tracking and reporting of inventory. This position will also provide monthly/quarterly consolidation of financial reporting of inventory activity and metrics.

This position interacts with many departments within the company, including:

  • North American Operations
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Internal/External Audit

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

As a financial Analyst, you will be required to be a financial control point for the service operational group(s) within North America and provide sound and objective analytical support while maintaining and monitoring financial controls and ad hearing to corporate compliance and policies. You must have a strong understanding of the inventory and cost flows of the organization you support and proactively work to streamline and enhance the operational reporting and operational understanding of the organization. You will be responsible for working with an operations team to provide monthly metrics and reporting as related to inventory transactions and the effect on cost center spend.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In supporting a segment of the company, you will be required monthly, quarterly, or annually to:
  • Direct financial support for North America Operations
  • Develops and assist in metrics to measure performance, increase efficiencies and track key initiatives.
  • Preparing and understand monthly journal vouchers flowing to your organization
  • Prepare monthly analysis/assistance for operating expenses related to inventory processing
  • Perform cost management analysis
  • Prepare and maintain various operational reporting packages
  • Jointly work with Corporate Accounting to ensure proper accounting methods and controls are in place
  • Communicate regularly with multiple layers of management
  • Perform other ad hoc reporting and analysis

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will also perform special projects to include:

  • Profitability analysis for team profitability
  • Troubleshooting and correction

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance preferred
  • Prefer 2 years of experience in financial analysis (Experience will determine grade level)
  • Bilingual – support role for Americas including Latin America and Brazil
  • Must have sound analytical skills
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must have strong personal computer skills
  • Must have interpersonal problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be able to multiple tasks.
  • Must be motivated, and self-directed
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and Khalix systems is a plus
