Our client, an established, growing company headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks an energetic and detail oriented Investment Analyst to provide support to the Company’s comprehensive Investment function. This position will involve a significant workload and a high degree of financial acumen, accuracy, and accountability.

The Investment Analyst will be involved in many aspects of investment- related research, analytics, valuation, operations, administration, and reporting. The candidate should have a strong background and understanding of portfolio theory, statistics, and capital markets. The Investment Analyst will work directly with the Chief Investment Officer to successfully implement and execute investment initiatives and has daily contact with associates within the Investment Department. Also works with other departments internally and has contact with external business partners outside of the Company. The position offers a high degree of autonomy and potential for personal growth in a growing firm.

Requirements

Specifically, the ideal candidate should have the following experience, education, and skill-set:

  • 2-5 years direct experience working in the investment management or financial services industries
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience with a broad/diverse investment focus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with strong academic record (3.5+); MBA a plus
  • Strong understanding of portfolio theory, statistics, and capital markets
  • Strong background in quantitative and financial analysis
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investment operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business valuation with respect to public and privately-held entities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. verbal and written)
  • A demonstrative ability to solve problems independently
  • High levels of motivation and initiative
  • The ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Desire to grow and expand personal knowledge and an ability to think objectively and critically
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is mandatory
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Knowledge of Traditional (Liquid) Asset Allocation and Private-related Investments (i.e. PE, VC, Directs)

  • Completes Special Projects as Assigned by the Chief Investment Officer
  • Responsible for some Investment Administration and Operational Actions
