Our Client located in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio is looking to hire a full-time Senior Analyst for Innovation. This person would be responsible for supporting the Innovation team in creating, developing, analyzing, and launching innovation initiatives. Collaborate internally to identify opportunities, understand market & consumer trends, and bring initiatives to market. Manage and coach a small team of analysts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Lead & manage ongoing support of innovation projects shepherding these projects through corporate innovation funnel and development process
  • Lead cross-functional resources in identifying, analyzing, & prioritizing new initiatives for development and launch
  • Serve as point of contact for leadership & stakeholders including project status updates, bi-weekly team meeting leadership, information sharing, and leadership input collection
  • Oversight and coaching for day-to-day innovation work, as well as coaching and career development for one innovation analyst
  • Provide additional coaching (formal and informal) to broader innovation team


  • Develop tools & systems to determine and measure innovation project success criteria to assist in prioritization and ongoing success tracking
  • Develop and implement a codified approach to understanding trends that will impact the organization/market/industry in 2+ years, leveraging these trends as input into innovation pipeline
  • Assess the impact of key innovation programs, summarizing key insights and communicating relevant learnings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
  • Support team in identifying opportunities to support innovation via improved data collection, management, and analytics
  • Manage 90 work plan for Innovation Core team, on multiple streams of diverse work simultaneously


  • Lead development and codification of corporate innovation process, including defined prioritization metrics and documentation systems
  • Create and implement processes for identifying, managing, and launching new products or services in support of business strategic priorities.
  • Develop process for ongoing idea generation and collection ensuring robust documentation and ease of submission and review
  • Develop tools to spur innovation-thinking and idea development throughout departments in the organization


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing, economics or related major preferred
  • 4-5 years’ experience as Innovation/Strategy Manager in Sports, Consulting, Traditional CPG, or other consumer-centric industry
  • Demonstrated ability to critically assess financial and strategic impact of programs and activities
  • Experience working in Innovation function or on new-to-the-market innovation preferred

Job Requirements

  • Experience with strategic analysis across both broad and narrow initiatives
  • Superior cross-functional collaboration across a diverse team of departments and individuals
  • Demonstrated success identifying and implementing best practices across a wide-range of use cases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other Microsoft Office products is required
  • Background working with SQL (or other similar database management software) or with data visualization programs is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Tableau, SQL, and other relevant technologies for conducting day-to-day analytics
